Jaundice.
This is sometimes a sequel to distemper, and if suspected, a visit to the VET is required.
An inoculation will clear this up in most cases.

Rickets.
Usually caused by malnutrition and prevention is easier than cure.
Make sure your Cocker has plenty of nourishing food, red meat for example.    -Diet-
In growing Eyelashes.
A Coker Spaniel puppy can make thins worse by constantly rubbing, just like a child.
The best cure is prevention and careful examination of the eyelashes every few days.
Dry the eye then examine them in an hour or so. If a few are still wet it is as well to take drastic action by removing them with small tweezers.
Skin Troubles.
Cleanliness with Cocker Spaniels is important, most skin infections are the result of neglect by the owner.
Use a good quality shampoo and bath your Spaniel at least once every two weeks.
If the problem persists consult your VET.
Spaniel Sit
Teeth.
Cocker's teeth should be cleaned at frequent intervals. Peroxide of  hydrogen and 50 per cent water should be rubbed around the teeth and gums. An old toothbrush can be used to eradicate tartar build up.
Worms.
Whether their presence is suspected or not , it is always advisable to treat for them periodically.
Every 3 months in puppies, then every 6 to 8 months in an adult Cocker.

Ear Canker.
Cocker Spaniels can suffer from ear infections due to the lack of ventilation in the ears.
Examine the ears at least once a week and clean them with a baby wipe.
The owner that neglects a dog can cause severe pain and suffering and even deafness be told!.
Bowel Trouble.
Incorrect diet can cause constipation or diarrhoea. All starchy foods can have undesirable effects if used in excess, a balanced diet is very important.
Have a small bowl of biscuits with vitamins (available from all pet shops) available for your Spaniel at all times. This is good for teeth and helps a balanced diet.
Never feed your dog on raw meat this causes many health problems including worms, skin and  bowel infections.
